Aluminum is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and non-magnetic. These fasteners are good for thermal/electrical conductivity, but have a lower strength compared to steel or stainless steel and not suitable for high-stress or structural applications. These fasteners are typically made from 6061-T6 Aluminum, although 7075 Aluminum, which is a stronger but more expensive grade, may be available.
