SHAFT COLLARS
Shaft collars act as a stop to retain equipment on shafts.
We carry three variations ...
The 'Set Screw' Shaft Collar : This is the most economical shaft collar.  It is installed by
tightening a set screw that extends through the shaft collar.   Unfortunately, the set screw
often mars the shaft.

The 'Single Split' Shaft Collar : This collar doesn't mar the shaft, and provides a greater
axial load than the set screw collar.  This collar can be used when the end of the shaft is
accessible.  It functions as a clamp around the circumference of the shaft, held in place by a
single socket head cap screw.

The (2-Piece) 'Double Split' Shaft Collar : The load values exceed the single split style by
approximately 10%.  This collar is used for mid-shaft applications when other components
are already in place, or when a slightly greater axial load is desired.  It can compensate for a
slightly oversized or undersized shaft, and is held in place by two socket head cap screws.
Most shaft collars are available in :
AMERICAN STANDARD, METRIC, STEEL ZINC PLATED, STEEL BLACK OXIDE,
304 STAINLESS STEEL
